, Alegria: La Batalla de Puebla 
Presented by Ballet Folklórico Paso del Norte 
 
Join Ballet Folklórico Paso del Norte as it takes you on a journey back in time, when French and Mexican troops clashed on May 5th, 1862. Although the French troops outnumbered the Mexican army led by Ignacio Zaragoza, the French were defeated and México victorious. Through regional dance styles and folklore music, learn about how the Battle of Puebla became a symbol of national sovereignty and resistance for the country of México. Directed by Rodolfo Hernandez. 
 
Two shows: 
• 3 pm & 4:45 pm 
• MACC Blackbox Theatre 
• All ages 
• Free, but ticket required at entry 
• Limited capacity, no walk-ins allowed
