Led by professional artist-educator Mario Parra, this hands-on class will focus on plein air painting where participants work directly from life in an outdoor setting. Emphasis is placed on observing light, atmosphere, and shifting colors thus fostering a sensitive connection between the artist and environment.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of outdoor painting, develop landscape observation skills and work with spontaneity under changing conditions.
This workshop coincides with the MACC's current exhibition "Mujer Moderna: The Life and Artwork of Mago Gandara".
