DESCRIPTION: \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n Ex-votos ontemporáneos: Painting Class for Adults  \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n  \n  \n Ex-votos are small folkloric paintings born from everyday moments of faith and gratitude, where ordinary people tell the story of a miracle, a survival, or a prayer answered through painting.In this two-part workshop, participants will channel that same personal storytelling tradition to create their own retablo on canvas, weaving their own narrative into a centuries-old art form. No prior painting experience necessary, the funkier looking painting the better!   \n  \n  \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n  \n  \n The first session focuses on the history and cultural context of retablos, sketching your composition, and beginning your underpainting.
